PHOTO TALK

"Photo Talk" is a 2-hour photography therapy and community building session designed to support photographers of all backgrounds and experience levels. The program offers a safe, inclusive space where participants can gather to share their journeys with photography, present and discuss their work, and connect with others who see photography as more than just a visual medium but as a form of healing, storytelling, and self expression.

Session Format (2 Hours):

  1. Opening Circle (15 minutes)
Welcome, introductions, and community agreements that ensure a safe, respectful space.

  2. Group Conversation (30–40 minutes)
    Guided dialogue around themes like:

    • How photography has helped with mental/emotional well-being

    • Creative burnout, inspiration, and rediscovery

    • Navigating photography in today's culture and economy

    • Identity, storytelling, and the lens we use

  3. Body of Work Sharing (45–60 minutes)
Participants are invited to present a small body of work (printed or digital) and speak to:

    • The intention behind their work

    • Emotions and personal history connected to the images

    • Questions, feedback, or insights they're open to receiving

  4. Closing & Free Print Giveaway (15 minutes)
As a meaningful takeaway, each participant will receive one free fine art print of a photo they presented or selected—offering a physical reminder of the connection made that day.
